1911 Dutch shipyard Dutch Saloon Boat, CHF 20'000.-

This beautiful Dutch Saloon Boat was built in Holland in 1911 to travel the canals as a lawyers office and was probably a steam boat. Somehow she got to Switzerland and unfortunately we do not know the former owner only that she must have cruised on lake Leman since 1950.
In 2008 she was found abandoned in very bad shape in a shipyard by a lover of old boats and totally refitted and restored to it's former beauty during two years. Her deck house is made of old original teak and so is her deck.
Since then she was berthed in Port Valais and used apart from private uses to do charitable cruises with handicapped children and adults under the name of Association Grand Largue,
She was repainted and her roof replaced in summer 2022.
The iron hull unfortunately is in need of restauration.

Questa bellissima Saloon Boat olandese fu costruita in Olanda nel 1911 per viaggiare sui canali come ufficio legale e probabilmente era una barca a vapore. In qualche modo arrivò in Svizzera e purtroppo non conosciamo l'ex proprietario, ma sappiamo solo che deve aver navigato sul lago Lemano a partire dal 1950.
Nel 2008 è stata ritrovata abbandonata in pessime condizioni in un cantiere navale da un appassionato di vecchie imbarcazioni e in due anni è stata completamente rimessa a nuovo e riportata alla sua antica bellezza. La sua tuga è realizzata con il vecchio teak originale, così come il suo ponte.
Da allora è stata ormeggiata a Port Valais e utilizzata, oltre che per uso privato, per crociere di beneficenza con bambini e adulti disabili sotto il nome di Association Grand Largue,
Nell'estate del 2022 è stata riverniciata e il tetto è stato sostituito.
Lo scafo in ferro purtroppo ha bisogno di essere restaurato.
